Psychotherapy & EMDR in Bath

I offer individual psychotherapy and EMDR for adults aged 18+, from my private practice in Weston, Bath, as well as online.

People come to therapy for many different reasons. You may be struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD or neurodiversity, relationship difficulties, or the challenges of living with a long term health condition. Sometimes there may not be an obvious reason, but you know that something doesn't feel right or that you would like things to be different.

How I work

I offer a warm, thoughtful and individual approach to therapy. My training is in humanistic and integrative psychotherapy, which means that rather than using one approach for everyone, I draw on different psychotherapy theories and ways of working according to your individual needs.

Therapy can be short or longer term. Our initial session gives us an opportunity to think together about what has brought you to therapy, what you would like help with and whether working together feels right for you.

EMDR & Trauma Therapy

I am a qualified EMDR clinician and offer EMDR both in person in Bath and online.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is a recognised psychological therapy particularly associated with the treatment of trauma and PTSD. It can also be helpful where past experiences continue to affect how you feel or respond in the present.

I am also trained in EMI (Eye Movement Integration), a neurotherapy used in working with traumatic and distressing experiences.

Long-term Health Conditions & Diabetes

I have particular expertise in the psychological impact of living with long-term health conditions alongside my wider psychotherapy practice.

In addition to my private work, I work within the NHS as the Service Lead of a specialist psychotherapy service and have extensive experience of the emotional and psychological impact of diabetes.

About Me

I trained in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy with Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling (BCPC) and Middlesex University and am accredited with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).

Alongside my private practice, I have many years of experience working within the NHS. I believe that a good therapeutic relationship is central to effective therapy and aim to provide a space in which you can talk openly, think about what is happening in your life and begin to understand yourself and your experiences differently.

Starting Therapy

If you are considering psychotherapy or EMDR, you are welcome to get in touch. You can tell me a little about what you are looking for and I can let you know about my current availability.

If we decide to arrange an initial session, this gives us an opportunity to explore what you would like help with and to consider whether I am the right therapist for you.
